Location and Access

The Polo Project is located in northern Santa Cruz Province, approximately 15 km east of Las Heras and 75 km west of Caleta Olivia, accessible via Provincial Route 43 and established oilfield infrastructure.

The project sits along the eroded southwestern margin of the Pampa del Castillo in a semi-arid plateau environment, with land use dominated by sheep grazing within an established oil and gas province.

Why Polo Matters

Same Exploration Target as Malbec

Polo sits ~45 km south along the interpreted southern continuation of the Malbec Project’s potential roll-front target within the Salamanca Formation.

ISR-Style Potential

The principal exploration objective mirrors Malbec: to evaluate the potential for sandstone-hosted roll-front uranium mineralisation and assess geological and hydrogeological characteristics relevant to ISR amenability.

Established Infrastructure

Located within a productive oil and gas province with extensive existing infrastructure - reducing logistics and access costs.

Regional Exploration Upside

The Laguna Sirven calcrete-hosted uranium occurrence, located ~45 km south of the Polo Project, provides regional geological context for evaluating calcrete-hosted uranium mineralisation as a secondary exploration target at Polo.

Project Approach

Polo is considered prospective for a sandstone-hosted roll-front uranium target within the subsurface Salamanca Formation, interpreted at an average depth of approximately 325 m in the south and slightly deeper towards the north.

Once the Exploration Permits are granted, Powerhaus intends to work with the provincial Mining Department to obtain and interpret existing oil and gas well logs and seismic data, following the approach used at Malbec. The initial two-year programme will focus on identifying radiometric anomalies, refining the geological interpretation and selecting targets, supported where possible by seismic reprocessing. Limited field reconnaissance will include radiometric surveys and surface sampling.

Exploration Focus

Powerhaus has not yet identified any uranium occurrences within the Polo Project area. The Project is at an early reconnaissance stage. Following the grant of the Exploration Permits, initial work will focus on compiling and interpreting existing oil and gas well logs and seismic data, supported by limited field reconnaissance.

Data Compilation

Work with the provincial Mining Department to obtain available oil and gas well logs and 2D/3D seismic data. Compile and interpret the well-log data to identify radiometric anomalies potentially associated with uranium mineralisation, refine geological interpretations and support target selection, with seismic reprocessing where suitable digital data are available.

Reconnaissance

Limited field reconnaissance, including radiometric surveys and surface sampling, to assess exposed geology and the potential for calcrete-hosted uranium mineralisation as a secondary exploration target.

Target Definition

Apply the same systematic exploration approach being used at Malbec to identify and prioritise sandstone-hosted roll-front uranium targets within the Salamanca Formation.
